Microsoft announced a new major update for Outlook on Android and iOS, introducing some of the most requested calendar features, including the ability to sync shared calendars and manage calendars in a remote manner. Additionally, the update features a significantly improved events manager and at least on the Android side of things, the new software package also introduces support for Meetup.
It is said that the latest major update for Outlook on mobile will allow users to view and edit calendars shared from Office 365 or Outlook.com, and furthermore, the application will also give users the ability to share their own calendars with others or accept invitations directly within the app. However, it’s important to note that as of this writing, Microsoft is in the process of updating existing shared calendars, meaning that the changes may not be available to everyone immediately. The feature will roll out gradually, but users can attempt to trigger the new changes manually by re-accepting the sharing or delegate invitation from Outlook on their smartphones or tablets.
