CASSAVA Smartech banking unit, Steward Bank, just launched a service called Sosholoza, (push forward, endeavor or strive), a mobile service that enables you to send money from any wallet to any bank or from any bank to any wallet.
This surely comes as good news to Zimbabweans who have been waiting for this service to come in play ever since last year when it was announced that all mobile money operators MNO should offer a facility which makes any mobile money subscriber to send money to any mobile money service.
This service can be also used over Social Media, we tried and tested this service using WhatsApp platform, the first thing you need to do is to save this number in your phone, +263 77 722 2333.
To start transacting using this number all you need to do is to send any message to that number. After that you will receive a message “Hi there, my name is Batsi, l am a virtual assistant and l will be assisting you on this platform to make sure you have the best banking experience. Let’s start off with some general housekeeping. What would you like me to call you? I like calling people by their names.”
After that you type your Name, then Batsi will create a profile for you, then Batsi will ask you which service you want to use,
- Account Opening.
- Account Services.
- ReImagine Rural Registration.
- Purchase Airtime.
- Buy ZESA Token.
- Send Zipit.
- Pay Bills.
- Internal Transfer.
- Balance Enquiry.
- Setup Payments
- Customer Services.
If you want to send cash to anyone from any mobile wallet to any mobile wallet you select 1. Sosholoza. Batsi will reply you with the following:
Select your Sosholoza Transaction:
- Any Wallet To Any Bank.
- Any Bank To Any Wallet
- Cancel or Exit.
From there you will be able to do your transaction the same way you do when using Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD). If a transaction fails to get through Batsi will refer you to a customer care agent who will help you with your problem.
