Netflix assured its followers that, it is going to release 70 original movies as of this year. According to the report, Netflix is tightening up its schedule in order to “take off” in streaming services because theatrical movies have precipitated due to the pandemic (covid- 19). Netflix promised to cover a large ground in terms of satisfaction to the audience because it is about to release movies in almost every genre in 2021, including comedy, animation, western, thriller, drama and action-packed movies.
Further, Netflix took advantage of entertaining people stuck at home in 2020, by releasing new movies from directors Gorge Cloone, Spike Lee and Gina Prince- Bythewood. In the same line, the streaming service has increased its operations over the past few years under film chief Scott Stubber. In an interview with Stubber, he said, “ I’m excited about the diversity of what the teams are doing… with this big of a global audience there’s a great appetite for the film”.
According to Scott Stubber’s info, his team is supervising a schedule of 52-live action movies in English, other 10 in foreign languages & there are also working on releasing eight animated movies this year which count to 70 movies all in all besides documentaries.
