Stanbic Bank Zimbabwe has added Stan the Stanbic cool Guy chatbot to its robust digital banking platforms.
Online banking has become the order of the day in today’s banking sector. Its use was further accelerated by the Covid 19 induced lockdown in place across the Globe and Stanbic Bank Zimbabwe is not legging behind offering banking services via their websites, mobile banking and mobile application.
All these platforms give you access to your bank account on your mobile device 24 hours a day from a location of your choice.
The bank has now added a virtual assistant or chatbot (Stan)to the list of their online services. A chatbot helps in connecting businesses and buyers through massaging applications. It instantly replies customers and solves their enquiries and queries on multiple online platforms including Facebook, WhatsApp and Twitter.
The Artificial Intelligence (AI) chatbot interprets a users language to understand and provide customer support by providing tips and suggestions and also completing buyer purchases.
A chatbot also allows customer service representatives to be freed up to perform other duties. They also protect internal shareholders against the deadly covid 19 pandemics during these hard times when everyone is encouraged to stay home for their safety and the nation at large.
Of course, human interaction is always ideal and would bring quicker assistance but it is always convenient to get instant replies any time of the day.
Stan the Stanbic guy is available on Facebook, Twitter DMs and as well as webchat which is available on the bank’s website. However, the chatbot will not be available on WhatsApp which I think is a mistake as WhatsApp is the most used massaging app in the country and the world at large.
