Basically, these are the same type of devices for example, for cars there are different brands, for instance, Toyota, Mazda, Honda, etc. The name of this product depends on where you come from. In North America there are called Streaming devices, in Europe, there are generally called Kodi Boxes or Internet Protocol Television (IPTV), in Asia, there are called TV boxes. In the same line, TV boxes can also be called Mini – TV because they can do everything your Desktop or Laptop can do.
Purpose of a TV box
The purpose of a TV box is to provide easy access to one’s favourite content on Television as it is on a Smartphone. One can access the likes of Netflix through its native app for Android making it more seamless and enjoyable experience.
How does it work?
A box is connected to a TV and set up to the internet via wired Ethernet or Wi-Fi connection. After the box is connected to a TV, and the internet, apps can be installed. For example, YouTube App can be installed to stream YouTube videos. Allegedly, all TV boxes can output HDMI to a TV giving it HD viewing ability. They can also use a remote control, keyboard or mouse for input.
How to Install Apps in an Android TV Box?
The primary way to install Apps in an Android Box is to use Google Play Store. Apparently, a Google Gmail email address will be needed to sign in and Download Apps.
Can Android Box provide Normal TV Services?
Any TV shows or movies can be watched depending on the service subscribed to. Each and every service contains difference services. Most of the popular TV channels like, ABC, CBS, CW, FOX, BBC, CNN, etc. all have streaming services so that one can access their programming without the need for a TV antenna or a cable subscription.
