Exciting news indeed!, you can now withdraw USD cash using any Mastercard or VISAcard at any selected Stanbic bank ATM across Zimbabwe. Even if you have your VISA enabled by any other bank, you will still Get your USDs.
The USD withdrawals will only be issued at selected Stanbic bank ATM’s nationwide. In Harare, the selected ATMs are Belgravia, Samora Machel, Borrowdale, Nelson Mandela and Minerva.
In Bulawayo JKM Nkomo, Zonkizizwe are the selected ATMs and also Mutare, Vic Falls, Hwange and Ngezi.
This is an exciting move by Stanbic for their Customers and Zimbabwe at large as USD cash withdraws are not easy to come by in the country.
Zimbabwe in the middle of one its worst economic crisis Characterised by both USD and Zimbabwean Dollar Cash shortages, a near 400% annual inflation rate as of January 2021 and currency instabilities. So if you are a regular Zimbabwean tourist or planning the trip, forget the troubles of having to carry cash on you every time you visit as you can simply withdraw your USDs at any Stanbic ATM. The current withdrawal limit is USD1000 a day.
The withdrawal charges will be 2% of the total withdrawal amount for Stanbic FCA cardholders and USD5 using any other international bank card issued by any other bank eg Ecobank, FBC etc.
To open a Stanbic bank VISA account visit any of the banks branches across Zimbabwe with your National ID, proof of residence, proof of income and 2 passport size photos together with an initial deposit of USD20.
